The Journey
Client: National Holocaust Museum, Nottinghamshire
Featuring over 300 artefacts entrusted to the museum, our immersive exhibition The Journey for the National Holocaust Museum in Nottinghamshire re-opened last year in time to mark the 80th Anniversary of Bergen-Belsen liberation. Based on the experiences of 36 real Holocaust refugees, the newly expanded and reimagined exhibition brings history to life through objects, testimony and interactive technology that will make visitors think about what forces people to flee for their lives from the place they call home.
Working closely with the museum team and wider stakeholders we have expanded and upgraded this walk through experience with new room sets and upgraded technology to create a powerful participatory experience for self guided visitors and school groups alike.
Original objects, over 100 clips of testimony and diary extracts are woven into the storyline and discovered through interactivity within the rooms sets placing Leo’s story of escape by Kindertransport in the context of modern day refugeeism.
