OCEANIA OPENS AT THE ROYAL ACADEMY

Theatrical placement and framing of objects is counterpointed with bold colour and dramatic lighting to create a stunning backdrop for the Royal Academy’s Oceania exhibition, which explores the Pacific cultures that Captain James Cook encountered on his legendary voyage 250 years ago, just as the Royal Academy was founded.

Celebrating both anniversaries, the show features over 200 objects spanning 500 years and many distinctive island cultures.
