Surrounded by the Atlas Mountains, within the gardens of Virgin's luxurious Moroccan retreat, Kasbah Tamadot, we designed Berber-styled tented suites that take glamping to new heights. The canvas suites combine 21st century comforts with original artefacts sourced from local markets or commissioned from local craftsmen. Our palette was inspired by sand and desert sunrises, with blocks of delicate colours in canvas, curtains and furnishings offset by antique hand-carved furniture, wooden beams, fret-cut metalwork screens and elaborately patterned ceramics. Closeness to nature, landscape and ancient culture create a seductive backdrop against which to enjoy hotel room-service, private plunge pools, and magnificently-sized bathrooms decorated in white marble and mosaics.
