REAL STUDIOS EVOKES LIFE AND TIMES OF THOMAS

Real Studios new exhibition brings the warmth, wit and wisdom of Dylan Thomas to life for the Dylan Thomas Centre in Swansea, opening 100 years to the day he was born, on October 27th, 1914. Using a vivid, three-dimensional timeline tableau, Real Studios' scheme evokes the richness and drama of Dylan's life, from his childhood home and birthplace in Swansea through his schoolroom and favourite pubs to the New York bar where he is spent his last night of whiskey-drinking. Elsewhere, sculptural roomscapes immerse visitors in Thomas's working practices and varied career and also his inspirations, from Wild West films to literature. Its opening marks the climax of the Dylan Thomas Centenary celebrations.
