The kind of space that every successful male executive dreams of has been designed by Real Studios in the basement of a large South London family home: a luxurious recreation room combining library, wine cellar, state of the art AV area and gym.
Having designed the interiors for the rest of the house, Real Studios worked closely with the architects on the creation of the ultimate basement den. A glazed staircase from the main hall leads down to the wine cellar. Beside the staircase is a comfortable lounging area with projection screen, surround sound speakers and seating for family film viewing. White shelves form the library alcove, with some shelves lined in oak panels and illuminated by occasional slimline light box 'books'. The gym occupies the far end of the basement and can be screened off by the colour-changing light-box screen doors. Iconic Banksy graphic art adds a playful touch to the walls.
